The meeting in Oporto also reported on the status of the Drought Plan
The partners’ meeting of the RISC Plus Project, an initiative co-financed by the Interreg VI Program, brought together its four partners in Porto: the Hydrographic Confederation of Minho-Sil (CHMS), the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (APA), the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and the University of Vigo (UVigo).
The meeting included an exhaustive review of the project execution status, both from a technical and financial point of view. Among the milestones highlighted was the commissioning of several real-time hydrometeorological monitoring stations by the CHMS, more specifically the Automatic Hydrological System Automatic Hydrological System (SAIH) stations in the Quiroga river in Quiroga (Lugo), the Lobios river in Lobios (Ourense), Narla river in Friol (Lugo), Sil river in Toreno (León), in addition to the Automatic Water Quality System (SAICA) station of the Tamuxe river in O Rosal (Pontevedra).
The execution of stations such as that of the Barbaña river was also reported, as well as the start of the adjustment works of the inventory of natural water resources of the CHMS demarcation, and the status of the processing of the Drought Plan of the Spanish part, together with the progress of the confederation and the university in the flood risk analysis.
