The Miño-Sil basin, with 17,600 square kilometres, is monitored by 116 stations in rivers and reservoirs and 28 in groundwater A summer without risk of drought or restrictions The demarcation produces 20% of Spain’s hydroelectric energy.  

The Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation formalises the contract for the extension of the SAIH network in the river Sil, as it passes through the municipality of Toreno in Leon.

The POCTEP Risc_Plus project will improve the management of water resources in the river Sil and anticipate emergency response, providing real-time data and greater security to local communities.
